During more than ten years of growth and development, CLST has been dedicated to the educational field by conducting various kinds of IT educational projects and professional development courses with different institutions.
From CAITE to CLST
We have expanded the research and teacher professional development mission of the Centre for the Advancement of Information Technology in Education (CAITE) to include evidence-based learning principles and how cognitive psychology can be applied to classroom teaching. Since July 2016, the Centre is renamed “Centre for Learning Sciences and Technologies (abbreviated as “CLST”).
TELEPORT WHEREVER YOU WANT
To engage students in authentic and experiential learning experience without setting foot outside the classroom, CLST developed EduVenture® VR (EV-VR), an integrated virtual reality mobile educational system. With a smartphone and a costless VR cardboard, students can immerse in a virtual field trip anytime and anywhere, and engage in an interactive learning experience.
In outdoor field trips, students’ lack of learning motivation is always a challenge for teachers. CLST developed EduVenture®, a learning platform that supports teachers and students to effectively and interactively conduct outdoor field-trips.
CLST initiated From Coding to STEM programme to nurture young students’ computational thinking and problem-solving skills through implementing a sustainable coding and STEM curriculum. In the long run, we hope that students could explore their enthusiasm and talents in STEM-related areas.
